Jane Moore has very kindly agreed to talk about her work and describe the stages involved in making her award winning jewellery.
Jane’s latest work is the result of extensive research into the design and application of fine enamel transfers. These patterns are designed on a computer, printed as a transfer, and fired on to a base coat of enamel. This technique has enabled Jane to create intricate patterns and to replicate designs in different colours for batch production. Jane will show examples of her work and talk through her design process, from sketch book to computer. She will demonstrate the computer programme she uses for creating her photo-etch designs and enamel transfer patterns, and the application of the transfers. Jane will also explain the technical stages involved in making her jewellery.
