NEW SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME 2008
The School of Jewellery is pleased to launch the new Short Course Programme for 2008 which includes many exciting new courses. All are designed to offer opportunities for those involved in the jewellery or other creative industries to develop existing skills or introduce new ones. In keeping with our commitment to excellence several respected international tutors will be contributing to our wide range of courses. Course levels vary from those suitable for complete beginners, for those who already have skills and knowledge in the general area of study but who wish to extend or update their abilities, and for those with higher level skills wishing to participate in Master classes.

JEWELLERY & SILVERSMITHING : Jewellery Making Techniques at various levels; Creative Laser Welding; Electroforming; Pearl & Bead Threading; Polishing for Jewellers & Silversmiths; Precious Metal Clay; ‘From Concept to Design’; Anticlastic Raising; Hydraulic Die Forming; Press Forming – An Introduction; Spinning.
PATTERN & COLOUR : Mokume Gané; Colouring & Forming Anodised Aluminium Jewellery.
RETAIL: Valuation and Appraisal of Jewellery; Costing and Pricing for your Jewellery Business.
STONES: Stonesetting at various levels; Gem*A Diamond Grading Practical & Exam; Diamond Awareness Day; Gemmology Basics; Gemstones for the Designer Maker.


HOW TO APPLY
Student places are limited to a maximum of 7-10 depending on the course. Please book early to avoid disappointment by telephoning to make a credit/ debit card payment of the course fee to reserve your place.
