INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY VITREOUS ENAMEL ARCHIVE

The Links below are to the University of the West of England, Bristol's Enamel Archive.

This project was funded by an AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council) Small Grant in the Creative and Performing Arts and by The Faculty Research Board UWE.

The archive is an outcome of Elizabeth Turrell's 3 year AHRC Fellowship in the Creative and Performing Arts. One explicit aim of the fellowship was to establish the potential of vitreous enamel on metal as a medium for creative practice for visual artists - the enamel images, which have been gathered for the archive, document and illustrate the quality and diversity of contemporary work.

There are over 100 artists each with up to ten images of work. Each image has an archive number for easy reference and the artists are listed in alphabetical order (the archive number does not correlate to the alphabetical system).
