Devon Guild of Craftsmen along with the University of the West of England and the British Society of Enamellers present this major exhibition of contemporary UK enamelling - an exhibition that will tour across the UK in 2009/10.
Central to the concept of Playing With Fire is that of ‘play’ where each artist will extend traditional methods to make new forms (‘bake it new!’). A major prize will be given to the most innovative work.
Featuring work by Kathryn Adamson, Stephen Bottomley, Helen Carnac, Beate Gegenwart, Grace Girvan, Rachel Gogerley, John Grayson, Joan Mackarell, Jilly Morris, Zsuzsi Morrison, Liana Pattihis, Kimberley Scott, Ed Silverton, Jessica Turrell, Tamar de vries Winter.
