Come to Kingsgate Workshops Trust Open Studios 09 and meet local artists and craftspeople. See behind the scenes at an artists studios and buy unique art works from £5 - £5,000.
Support talented artists and designers making work in the UK. Enjoy the art workshops, take part in our treasure hunt and the other attractions on offer. A fun and inspirational weekend for all the family.

Saturday 6th June 2009 13.00 - 15.00 - Origami Workshop (ages 6+)
Kingsgate Artist Naori Priestly will be teaching participants techniques in the ancient art of Origami creating colourful Japanese Carp. Fun for all the family.
Saturday 6th June 2009 15.30 - 17.30 - Printing with Clay (ages 6+)
Kingsgate Artist Josie Warshaw will be teaching participants exciting techniques for printing on clay, using simple but effective printing materials. Finished fired work can be picked up at a later date to be arranged. Work can be made to hang as a decorative piece or formed into a simple dish.
Sunday 7th June 2009 13.00 - 15.00 - Shaky Pots (ages 6+)
Kingsgate Artist Chris Bramble will be making Shaky Pots using clay, create pots using the artists wheel stick them together with a ball of clay in side making a stick and then decorate. Finished fired work can be picked up at a later date to be arranged then shake away and hear it rattle.
Sunday 7th June 2009 15.30 - 17.30 - Story telling theatre (ages 6+)
Kingsgate Artist Maria-Theresa Ross will be teaching participants the art of story telling, using card and paper you will create your own miniature theatre, develop characters and create your own stories. Through out the day on the Saturday and Sunday, Kingsgate Workshops Trust will also be holding 'drop in' Life Drawing held in our Kingsgate Gallery giving you the opportunity to draw and paint from a real life model.
Vladimir's Studio will be open by appointment.
